                  4.  Discussion
                      This  study  was  designed  to  evaluate  the  discriminatory  and  predictive
                  accuracy of the RDT malaria test against the microscopy smear test as the
                  “gold” standard. There were significant relationship and agreement between
                  the outcomes of the RDT and microscopy malaria test procedures. However,
                  the Kappa statistics at 0.55 and the Gini and Pietra indexes both at 0.6337
                  showed that the agreement was only good but not excellent. Generally, the
                  RDT  was  found  to be  more  sensitive (88%)  than  being  specific  (76%).  The
