STS496 Pilar M.
                  7. Conclusions
Since the adoption of the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics the
ESS has been designing several instruments for the safeguard of the
independence of statisticians that have proved to be effective, some of which
have been extensively used in other regions of the world. But technological
development and social changes are a permanent source of new challenges
                  that require its frequent updating.
