                  4. Conclusion
                     The ISI has proven through its long history of more than a century and a

                  half  that, among all the fields of theoretical statistics and applied statistics, it
                  could also bring the experience of all its members to the development of the
                  official statistics, in all regions of the world, and in particular in developing
                  countries, without jeopardizing its other activities.
