2.2 Assessment on Organizational Structure
The health sector, particularly health institutions, plays a significant role in
vital statistics system. First, health institutions act as informants of the
occurrence of births, foetal deaths and deaths. Secondly, certifying the causes
of death and this role can only be performed by physicians attached to health
institutions.
